Anyone is eligible to become a member without regard to age, race, ethnic origin, religion, gender, sexual orientation or skill level. 

 To provide a means to enjoy the game of golf as well as each other’s company and a chance to earn a little prize money along the way. We have players with single digit handicaps and those with higher handicaps, all competing in gross and net events under the Rules of the game as established by the USGA. 

MAGA of SA maintains a handicap system for its members through the World Golf Handicap System provided by the Texas Golf Association. (Part of the dues goes towards maintaining the member's handicap.)

Events are scheduled every other week, sometimes on Saturday and other times on Sunday, at different courses in and around the San Antonio area. 

Membership dues are presently set at $70 per person for the year 2024 payable as soon as possible. Dues cover the cost of the handicap system for each member through World Golf Handicap System and the cost of this website. 

Each tournament costs $25, which goes toward the prize money and closest-to-the pin contests (this does not include the green fee). There is an OPTIONAL game of gross skins ($10), net skins ($10) and deuces ($5). Players can participate in one, two, or all three optional skins games.
